1. The Classic Hypnosis Bubble
I think we’d all agree it is a truly wonderful sensation to feel safe and secure in one’s own body and in one’s own life.
Many people in a wide variety of aspects of life benefit from the kind of thing that is offered up in this hypnosis track. What I mean is, it is not exclusively the territory of someone who is in therapy, for example. This kind of process is one that looks to build secure boundaries and enhance decision making. It lends itself wonderfully well to these things and is therefore a great way for a hypnotherapist to start sessions with a client, for example.
However, it can be adapted to suit a wide variety of issues and has a number of applications.
I have written before and there is an individual hypnosis session available in the store here for creating a protective shield aimed at protecting you from aspects of life that might upset your state or cause discomfort, and this type of process is not a million miles away from that.
In my experience and evident in the work of most of the trainers I have worked with, and through my studies over the years, many clients respond better to therapeutic intervention when they feel safe, secure and in control. Lots of myths that surround the field of hypnosis and hypnotherapy do tend to inhibit this if the client is not educated about the hypnotic process, then this can detrimentally effect the results you might hope to achieve with a client. Heck, this hypnosis session is not about how to develop trust and rapport et al. You can read about that aplenty elsewhere on this website as well as other places.
This kind of process helps a client to feel safe in life and within the therapeutic environment.
I have adapted this process for use within a hypnosis audio track and it sit he kind of thing I use in therapy sessions with clients and make much use of myself. This track helps you build a protective bubble around yourself and when you are safe and secure within it, it guides you to create boundaries for your life and helps you to enhance how you make decisions throughout your life also. Enjoy!
2. Accessing Your Higher Self To Help Overcome Problems
I regularly spend a lot of time out and around the countryside and the coastline near to where I live. I often am led to feel that the time and tranquillity I find enables me to access some higher part of myself… The peace of mind gets my creativity flowing and has led me to be moving in a great direction with many projects I have been working on.
Before, I have shown a process of getting in touch with an internal advisor of sorts using self-hypnosis, where you actually manifest an inner advisor that you communicate with and ask questions of and I even show a technique of that ilk in my self-hypnosis book. However, I have adapted that process slightly here within this hypnosis session to show how anyone can access a higher intelligence or a higher self, so to speak, without needing so much dialogue and using it to access resources.
This kind of a process can be done in conjunction with all kinds of other things and you can use your imagination in a way that enables you to run through this process from a special place in your mind, so you get artistic license throughout the session to adapt and make this process appeal to you in the way you choose.
One of my favourite therapeutic interventions in my own hypnotherapy consulting rooms that I use with clients is that of imaginative and mental rehearsal of successful outcomes and so I have combined this idea of accessing a higher self with mental rehearsal and I know many hypnotherapists choose to use the idea of accessing a higher self with a wide range of other therapeutic interventions to advance their efficacy and effectiveness.
Please note, I would not want you to rely exclusively on any so called ‘higher self’ for advice or as the ultimate source of truth and resource and would not suggest that it is all-knowing – people who read my blog or listen to my podcast know that I am not for that idea at all. I just think it is often incredibly useful to feel like we are tapping right into some additional depth and resource that we have to enable ourselves to think of ourselves as more capable than we sometimes believe or realise. I use this type of session a great deal with my hypnotherapy clients and I know you’ll love what it can do for you.
3. Hypnotic Chicken Soup To Relieve Cold and Flu Symptoms
I recall a great episode of South Park when the town all got SARS and Stan discovered that cure (told to him by a wise-old trailer trash guy) was Chicken noodle soup, dayquil (US version of Vicks) and sprite.
We all are sure to have come across our own best ways of dealing with the common cold, I used to have Heinz tomato soup, a copy of the Beano to read in bed and a couple of spoonfuls of butterscotch syrup – which is simply delicious. On occasions, I’d get one of the old style bottles of lucozade wrapped in yellow noisy foil/paper too.
It would seem to many people though that chicken soup does indeed have mystical healing powers 😉
Many people revert to chicken soup when they have a cold or flu and there have even been some studies to investigate the reasons for it and it does indeed contain a bunch of ingredients that help us through those miserable times.
Having this session on your music player ensures that you are prepared for any time that you might get a cold or flu. This session utilises the lovely notion of combining the benefits of chicken soup and amplifying them with the power of hypnosis – if and when you get a cold in the Winter months ahead, then you have a process to do in bed instead of just feeling sorry for yourself!
Of course, as much as I’d love to, I cannot offer up a cure for the common cold – which as of today, still eludes all and sundry in medical fields, but this process can certainly help alleviate some of the symptoms as you overcome the cold with your body’s defences. I use it if ever I get a cold and it makes me feel better every time.
4. The Hypnotic Back Rub
I am aching all over at the moment.
What a joyously uplifting few words to open up with on the web copy for this hypnosis session, eh?
Yes indeed, my miles have been upped greatly in the last couple of weeks as my training for the upcoming marathons I am entered in gets into the business end of my schedule.
One of the biggest challenges I face is recovering in between marathons. I am no longer a twenty-something whose body responds to exertion with the greatest of ease. I am at that age where I get up to use the toilet in the night, and yes my legs tend to feel sore after my weekly long run and they scream at me during my speed sessions.
Added to that, I have incorporated some weight training aimed at the muscles I use when running to enhance my speed and strength, and it is that which I am feeling this morning. Especially in my lower back following sessions aimed at my core.
I do go and see a sports massage therapist, though not as often as I would like and do see other great people who tend to me, though I never lose track of what my own mind is capable of, and do use self-hypnosis at any and every opportunity to help along the way.
In recent times on my blog, I have offered up a range of processes aimed at helping enhance performance when running or during other sports. With this session, whether you regularly partake in sports or physical activities and exercise or not, I offer up a really simple, luxurious and enjoyable hypnosis process that anyone can benefit from to help ease aching muscles, speed up healing or just bask in the benefits of a massage. Which of course also aids performance.
It is not a strategy or a technique borne out of a deeper therapeutic process, it is more of a mental imagery technique which anyone can gain great benefit from. The body is warmed up and readied and then given a deep and enjoyable hypnotic massage to relieve your muscles. You are going to love how you feel afterwards!
5. The Hypnotic Mud Bath
When I was younger, I lived for a few months on a Kibbutz and have written in my books and on my blog about some of my experiences during this time and my other travels. After living for a while in Nacscholim, Israel, I got to travel to the dead sea in Jordan. After I had been to Petra, of course.
This is not supposed to be about me reminiscing, but furthering the notion that exists within many of these individual hypnosis sessions; mental imagery processes combined with powerful hypnosis… So I shall not indulge myself too much further with my recanting tales of old… But if you have ever floated in the dead sea for a while, you appreciate that whether it is because of the minerals, or whether it is because so many people told you it was good for you… You feel good being in there.
It led me to fancy going and plunging myself into one of those mud baths. So I went to a local one and I have since been to others, one in particular was on the periphery of the volcanic Greek island of Santorini. You get to wallow in mud and minerals and sit with it on you for a while before you swim into the sea and wash it all off.
Again, it feels good, I have to say. I have only fond memories of hanging out in mud.
Mud, mud, glorious mud, eh?
When your weight gets suspended and your firmly believe in the healing properties of that thick, gloopy, gooey, brown stuff you are in, then you respond accordingly. It is that premise that I rely on within this hypnosis session.
There are all kinds of processes similar to the one I am sharing here, out there online or in script books and this is just my own adaptation of such. If you fancy gaining all the fabulous benefits of a mud bath, without all the actual mud, then this is just the ticket for you with this audio session. Many believe that mud is good for the skin, good for the joints and for aching muscles and much more besides and we build upon all of those things. Get rejuvenated, get relaxed and enjoy this opportunity to immerse yourself in hypnotic mud!
